Photowalk 49 - Evening Green
We're back from Connecticut. We got in late last night. And I mean late - stupid plane got delayed and we didn't get home until about 11PM. And of COURSE we had a pot luck at work the next day so I still had to make something. I glad I stuck to it and brought in some spicy peanut pasta (adapted from Pioneer Woman's recipe, which I'm too lazy to find the link for, but if you search her site for it, you'll find it), as no one else bothered to bring in a vegetarian main dish. Lots of yummy cookies, though!
It's much too hard to edit on a laptop screen, so while I took a number of photos in CT, I'm still trying to catch up on ones I had previously taken.
Rest assured, though, while I've decided to quite posting them daily, I'm still taking a photo a day for my little DePhoMo project.
This particular photo is from last weekend, when the late evening (if you can call 4PM "late evening". I hate winter!) sun caused the grass to get that golden-green hue. Yum!

I wanted to get more photos of the sun setting, but someone came up and started talking to me as I was walking to a different location, by the time the conversation finally ended, it was too late.

Photowalk 49 - Puddle of Glass
This is probably the first real sign of winter I saw - a small puddle looking beautiful all frozen over with the warm evening sun reflecting off of it.

Photowalk 49 - Lone man walking
It was a rather cold evening and I was surprised at the number of people still out there walking. It made me smile, though, to know that there are other people out there that appreciate our National Parks enough to go walking through them even on the cold days.

Photowalk 49 - Leaves
It took me a while to get this shot because the leaves were above my head - I wanted to shoot level with the leaves so that I could get that warm glow from the setting sun in the background. Since I don't have one of those fancy-schmancy new DSLRs with the live-view, I had to guess and check when it came to composition. My guessing paid off - this photo is uncropped!

Photowalk 49 - DePhoMo.06 - Sunset over Ledges
so, the flickr blog used to do this thing called Five Questions, asked to a photographer and posted on the blog. The fourth question was always: When we interview peeps for employment here at Team Flickr, we always ask: ?Kittens, babies, sunsets or flowers? Pick one.?
My answer, hands down, is sunsets. Sunsets rank up there as one of my absolute favorite things in the whole world.
I'm posting my photos way out of order just for this DePhoMo thing. This really flusters me, if you care.
