Lighting experiment: window camera right, white shoebox camera left, and a shiny panel from a computer tower in my lap.
By the way, any resemblance the backdrop appears to have with my bed sheet is pure coincidence.

I was outside my fiancee's office, waiting for him to get off work and drive me home, and passing the time taking "artistic" pictures of power lines and street signs and stuff. These guys walked past, saw my camera, and spontaneously posed for a couple pictures.
It was a fun moment!

I spent yesterday evening looking at photos from Chris Weeks, a really talented street photographer. (Though his attitude can get a little wearying, for me.)
Anyway, I decided to play Chris Weeks on the bus today by taking sneaky covert pictures, eyeballing the distance to set the manual focus rather than focusing in-camera.
The picture itself is nothing great, but the focus mostly worked and the lighting looks nice! So, success!

crochet bits
Random crochet pieces that I will incorporate into other projects. I sat down for just a few minutes, to relax, and as I made these, so many ideas grew in my mind. Of course, now I need to find the time to make those ideas.
Patterns from Beyond the Square Crochet Motifs book.

fixing in progress
my sister bought this platter, and then dropped it 20 minutes later. oops!
i used various shades of Golden liquid acrylics to blend the edges, since the small chips were lost in the fall.

I gave myself another project of asking someone on campus if I could take their picture. This guy was very friendly and had a very nice smile!

I am drowning in schoolwork at the moment (why do I always leave everything until the last minute?) so this will have to do for today.
I took the picture through a hole in the post of a stop sign while waiting for the bus this morning.

Bird prototype
My first bird. Well, really the 3rd, but this was photo-worthy. Made with fabric from an upcycled children's dress and denim from a worn out pair of jeans.
