Avery started getting his high school acceptance letters. He got into all 3 of the Catholic Schools that he applied to. This one also offered him a scholarship. Fordham Prep has invited him to take their scholarship exam as well.
Hopefully he gets into similar caliber public schools!

I finally finished one of the smallville socks. This started life as a Knit Picks sock blank. I attempted to knit two socks at once but I gave up at the heel. It too me months to get that far. Once I put it on dpns it was done in a matter of days. Now on to the second one.

The husband went out the door to take the oldest to school and we realized we had way more than the inch that the news said we would, the Bronx often does since we're further North than the city. He grabbed the shovel and got to work.

I finished this scarf for Avery in record time. The picture shows clearly that I ran out of yarn and had to bind off in a different shade of brown. Oddly enough you can barely tell in person
