More Chair-O-Planes (B&W this time)

Photographed with a Canon Digital Rebel through a Kodak Duaflex at the Alameda County Fair in California.

I post processed this in Canon Digital Photo Professional to desaturate and increase contrast.

We call these things Chair-O-Planes in Ireland but I am not sure what they are called in the US. Wikipedia says they are also called swing carousels or wave swingers but I have never heard these terms.

More shots of this fairground ride.

In the interesting pages for for Aug 2nd 2006.

Update 9/7/07
Featured in the Through the Viewfinder Volume one book. This book is available on Blurb.

No No No

Wish You Were Here
A line written on many a postcard, but interpretation is the key. A desire, a temptation, a burning question, or a bit of irony? Maybe you like to tease and are a little tongue-in-cheek? Or full of longing and sincerity-with a shot to make us weep?

That was the "mission brief" for September's Lomography Lomo Mission. This photo was one of the runners up.
