Fall in Love
There was a couple who met in the fall, and they fell in love. During their first year of marriage, they decided to try home brewing, and because fall was a special time of year for them, they brewed a Pumpkin Ale. These are my friends. And they had me create a label for their first anniversary. Now, the original illustration that led to the final beer label is for sale in my sHandke shop.

Walking into the Rain - ACEO
He walks out of the building into the rain. Is it depressing? Or is it delightful? It's been continually raining around here and I really enjoy the ambient noise and beauty in rainy days. So I was inspired.
It's been quite some time since I first created an Artist Trading Card. I recently found a massive amount of scrap matboard and other materials, so I cut them into the standardized dimensions for Artist Trading Cards.

Some Women & their Scene
I'm not exactly sure where I've seen these women, but I know that they are a stereotype of sorts. Is it the fashion scene... or are they on the streets... I really cannot recall. You tell me.

Why is it that Christmas seems like such an appropriate day to hyperventilate, to palpitate, to sweat profusely, to be certain that you are having a nervous breakdown? Why is it that desperation is closer to God?

The Orchard
The orchard is a favorite place to visit in the fall. It's been chilly here the past couple of days, and that crisp breeze makes me long for fresh-picked apples, wine tasting, and pumpkin patches.

Be a Man - Limited Edition Note Card - Original Drawings
I decided to create a limited edition series of hand drawn note cards. This series of note cards will focus on people, and this series is only available here in my etsy shop. Each note card is hand-cut and hand-folded, and each card comes with a brown kraft paper envelope. The inside of the cards are blank, so that you will have plenty of space to write a personalized message. And if you cannot bring yourself to give them away, frame them!

Trash Collector
He arrives at the dumpster behind the apartment between 10am and 2pm every Saturday. He's not one of the regulars, but he too collects trash from our dumpster. Who digs in your dumpster?

Summer Street Flowers
These flowers make the streets come to life. And they also encourage the people to keep moving. Life is beautiful if you just stop and enjoy each moment.

Lone Bird & His Trees
We have a nestful of birds on our back porch, and they're never lonely. Neither are we. Nonetheless, it's always brilliant to see a lonely bird singing his song when you're out on an afternoon stroll.
This drawing was completed pen and ink on 100% recycled paper from the French Paper Co. I used a combination of fountain pens and Chinese brushes to complete this drawing. This original drawing has been treated with an archival quality finish. It will be shipped to you in a securely packaged, custom-made box.

Lilies of the Valley DANCE
Lilies in bloom. Summer heat. Bold colors. Those lilies love to dance in the wind, the humidity, the sun. Are they in the valley? Or are you? Either way, DANCE like the lilies.

Customized Original Drawing - choose your Favorite Quote
This concept originated due to a past client's custom order. I thought it was a brilliant idea, and I'm now offering it to otehrs. I will create a 16" x 20" original drawing of your favorite flowers specifically for the oval shaped frame.
You choose your favorite quote, and I'll create the drawing. Each and every drawing is custom created once your order has been placed. This means that no two drawings will ever look just alike, and the lettering is all hand-drawn. In other words, there are imperfections, and that is good. It will make your piece unique.
When you place the order, you may leave the quote that you would like to have on your piece in the "note to seller." Then, please allow 2-3 weeks for me to complete the order and ship it out to you. (If you have a deadline, please let me know in advance, and I will do my best to work with your request.)

This drawing was completed mostly with ink. I used no markers with this piece, because I opted Dr. phMartin ink and my bamboo brushes. The drawing has been treated with an archival spray and is ready to be framed and hanging in your home.
