Franklin Falls Pond
We are on a vacation right now in the Adirondacks, NY. Today is thanksgiving and I shot this beautiful (almost) sunset reflected in Franklin Falls Pond, close to Lake Placid. I just wanted to share this with you today. More pictures from Montreal and Lake Placid area will follow soon.
As Patrick Houlihan just pointed out, LARGE VIEW is a must! (Or On Black)
I picked up a printed version today and its stunning! A 2x3 foot big print is much more impressive than a computer screen can ever be!

Balloons in the Sky
The ' NY State Festival Of Balloons' in Dansville (40 miles south of Rochester).
We went there on Friday because the weather on Saturday and Sunday was going to be bad. Also on Friday they almost cancelled the flight, but fortunately for us they did not. There were over 50 balloons going in the air and that is I can tell you, a magic sight.
Also see them on the ground just before take off: One by One

Algonquin Park Sunrise
I got up real early to see the sun rise over the lake. It was a stunning moment! The clouds were over the hills in the back and the sky was blue with this beautiful magenta on the clouds around the sun.

Chase me, mirror me
I was headed for my car and just starting to put the camera in my bag, when I heard this flapping noise coming in from the North. It all went real fast: rushing back to the lake (just 10 meters), grabbing the camera, popping the hood and shooting 3 to 4 shots. The settings were still on the last shot, so not optimal for this kind of action shot. I thought they made one hell of an entrance!!!

Burning Red in Yellowstone
Just one shot for now from my trip through western USA. This shot was taken in Yellowstone during a Canon Workshop. The workshop did not give much new info, but I did get some interesting tips on landscape photography. The 16-35L was provided by he Canon workshop. I liked working with it.
More shots will be coming up when I get home to Holland.

Me in Green
In Montreal they have a underground shopping system with some very cool corridors and passages. Man I loved that place!

Underground
Found these pcs of London in a shoebox, thought I had lost them. But the CD was still ok. Think this one and the next are some of the best I've made.

Boston Sunset
On a short holiday break to Boston, MA. Yesterday we were just in time for the sunset. This shot is a couple of minutes after the actual sunset. The sky turned this beautiful colors, reflected in the partly frozen Charles river.

Cow in three feet high dirt
On a walk in the Ardennes in Belgium I saw these cows in a field. The field was nice and grassy, a fairly good standing surface I would say. But they all seemed to like standing in 3 feet mud, because that's where most of them stood. The good thing about this was that they were not capable of moving when I took my pictures from close by.
