day 005 of 366 - sunset shot
OK I swear my next photo in the 365 day challenge won't be the car!!
Would you believe these paddocks are actually within a kilometre of the house. Gotta love Canberra :)
You can see Rosey in the front seat of this one too (and me in the reflection if you look hard enough)

day 004 of 366 - 20"s
Yet another shot of the new car.
It *may* dominate my photos for a little while longer.
I still get the broadest grin on my face when I walk up to it and realise that it is mine. Pretty sad really :-P
Close friends will know that I am pretty much a mad greenie.
This car totally goes against my grain. I am carbon offsetting it btw.
I was tossing up between this car and a Toyota Prius Hybrid. Yup pretty big gap between the two. This was a once in a lifetime purchase. Something I have dreamt about having for many many years.

day 002 of 366 - driving the new car
Ok, so technically I didn't take this shot but it was my camera.
Things got a little carried away around here yesterday with the arrival of a new car :)
I took some photos myself but none were worthy of posting (in my mind anyway).
The car btw is here mogbog.com/car.jpg , complete with hood ornaments :P

day 001 of 366 - fruits of our effort
Well finally pulled my finger out and decided to get into this 365 day challenge. The Chinese New Year has motivated me.
Stay tuned for a photo a day.
Here is our cherry tomato bush. Finally starting to burst out with ripe fruit. YAY I love tomatos.

day 008 of 366 - fire
this grevillea out the front has really been struggling with the drought and stage 3 water restrictions.
it finally got enough of a burst in it to produce one lovely flower.
I used a single sheet of white paper to bounce ambient light back onto the flower here.

day 007 of 366 - desktop
There is something on this desktop that someone may recognise ;-). It's been sitting in front of me ever since someone gave it to me.

day 010 of 366 - rats!!
Boy this challenge is hard some days.... I will persist though. Hopefully it will spark my creative side.
Here is the detail of some decorations we still have up from our Chinese New Year party the other weekend.

day 011 of 366 - vroom
Just for Jim... another car shot.
The sky was amazing this afternoon with a cold front moving through and creating some really nice skies.
Happy with this shot :-)

day 012 of 366 - workstation
My daily grind....
I am happy having two monitors though. Makes life so much easier.
Little parts of me in that photo. I've placed a few notes.

day 014 of 366 - natures pallete
I deliberately opened up the lens a bit to induce heaps of bokeh creaminess in this shot. I'm really happy with the blended light and colours in this shot.
Only 5 days of summer left and parts of the grape vine have already felt the tingle of the odd cold night and started to turn. Ooooh I can't wait for full on autumn. A photographers dream around here.

day 016 of 366 - drip
Like how my life feels at the moment. Suspended in motion. I know which way I'm going but not sure what to expect and to some extent some of it feels out of my control.
Some fellow posters on a forum I frequent have been playing around with drops. I thought I'd give it a go tonight. Was a lot of setting up and adjustments but it was fun.
Ended up taking about 130 photos for about 10 good ones :)

day 017 of 366 - my daily trudge to work
This is what I have to put up with every day as I head into work... I wish I could be stuck in traffic sucking in those fumes for an hour or so, but unfortunately I have to put up with this vista, every morning as I spend 15 minutes riding in to work. Sometimes life is really, really hard :-D
