Popular with expatsinterior of Frog, a giant nightclub. This is the locker room, where people talk on phones and take a break from dancingthe interior of Monkey, my favorite hip-hop club. See the live DJ? It's live rap, much better than Frog, which just plays pop songsthe subway. You can see a woman in a purple hanbok at the other endKevin, my colleague, and a student who spontaneously hugged him during classJagalmadang, a big red-light district in Daegu. The women were sitting on steps, smoking (which normally a Korean woman would never do)riding the subway in Daegume and Lang, my new friend and Korean tutorme and my friend Mun-Shik, drinking makkoli. Makkoli is a traditional Korean liquor served in bowls. It is yummersthe lotus festival in the parkTad and Travis (aka "the Texans") playing dominoes in the lobby of the hotel. I have been known to kick their butts throwin' bones every once ina awhileboth Veronica and Monique had a birthday, so I bought them a cake and Yeungjin gave them flowers. This is in the conference room where we work a lot of the time.
