String
My old guitar brought in 2002 to learn music but music is not my piece of cake. So it is in my room at one of the corner lying around to be touched. But never played, so here it is. I do not have any new photographs on theme of music to upload so I upload this old photograph for International Music Day, 2007.

Lust in Raw Definition
Copyright 2007 Kristi Bogel
Me; self portrait.
I just wanted to show off my new tattoo that I got a few days ago. I designed it myself.
The part of my tattoo closest to my stomach is not really thicker than the part closer to my back, the treatment just made it thicker looking.
I have a black and white version as well, but the color ended up being easier to determine what was being looked at. Plus, I really like how my jeans look...
I want a love, love that won't hit back
Want sex, sex without a catch
Want a face, to trust, to feel, to lust
In the heat of Los Angeles
Want to fuck, fuck, fuck this up
Gonna feel, feel, feel you up
Had enough, enough, enough, enough
In the heat of Los Angeles

The Sangha: Becoming a Monk in Thailand
A monk in Thailand is treated with great respect, and the institution itself is highly revered. The Sangha is the official Order of Monks. Becoming a monk in Thailand is a way of earning honor or merit for one's parents. Those who cannot become full-pledged monks, perhaps due to financial obligations to the family, for example, may do a 3-month Buddhist retreat instead as a short period of service to the monastery.
This photo shows a monk who has served and is about to leave the monastery. You will see the older ordained monks in the front near the altar giving their blessings.
I posted a second photo to show the beauty of the Buddha in this temple. This is in the Marble temple, the only temple in Thailand made of Italian marble. The King at the time of this temple's construction was raised and studied in the West, and had a fancy for things European, thus this marble temple.
Good night my friends. It is almost midnight and time to go to sleep! See you in the morning!

Horse in bluebonnets
On my last trip across Texas, the bluebonnets were out in force. This is the only photo I was able to get where horse didn't have his head down eating.

Travellers in the Dawn
Best viewd large. First attempt at shooting dawn - much harder than I thought it would be particularly getting it in focus when you can't actually look at it through the viewfinder without getting blinded! The plane flew into the frame just as I was about to take the picture - lucky break!

So be it.... Jedi....
An old Uygur woman I spotted in the street in Kashgar. I've played with B&W conversion a little bit to get this kind of surreal look.
She reminds me of Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars...

Giuoco della creazione a Vacca Pezzata
Umile riferimento a "Le tre metamorfosi" - Cos Parlo Zarathustra - F.W. Nietzsche.
Avevo provato a trascriverlo integralmente ma avrebbe occupato troppa pagina.
[...]

l i g h t b o x
the light on this particular evening at the peggy's cove lighthouse was amazing and fading fast, so i used this puddle to find some extra light and create a mirror image effect.
i did not use a tripod for this shot, so i had to stay extremely still to keep this photo as crisp as possible. hope you like it.
from my recent "l i g h t h o u s e" series, taken wednesday, april 11 at peggy's cove, nova scotia. here are a few more images from the set... guardian of the sea, peggy blue, double take, porchlight, and walk into the light

Faking a Call
I liked the photographic qualities this man had and negotiated with him to pose, in this photo with my mobile phone. Taken at the Agra Fort, India.
