Urban Landscapes Inside
Urban Landscapes - Size: 3" x 4". 8 pages. Edition size: 15
Urban Lanscapes tells a story, a story without words. It was printed on a Universal I using various printmaking techniques including linoleum block prints, low relief pressure prints, and letterpress from photo polymer plates. It was printed on Rives BFK and bound with a drum leaf binding. Urban Landscapes was created during the dirty grey spring as an editon of 15.

Afflicted Cover
The words are my own. The book was originally created as a part of a swap with about 12 other book artists around the US. Unfortunately, the swap sort of fizzled, but I finished the project. I love printing and over printing, and what happens organically when you do. The book was letterpress printed from photopolymer plates, and linoleum blocks on a Vandercook 219. It was printed as a single 8" x 10.5" sheet then map-folded. I use "road map" as metaphor in the text, the structure of the book supports that metaphor as well. Afflicted is laid in a handmade hardcover wrap with bone closure and waxed linen thread. Both the book and it's wrap are sealed with several layers of Renaissance wax.

Word Choice was letterpress printed on Rives BFK from old wood type and photo polymer plates on a Vandercook #4 as an editon of 45. Each printis signed and numbered. It's all about words.
