The Lighthouse at Grotta
Just missed a fantastic sunset which was caused by the volcanic ash in the clouds over Iceland these days.

Eyjafjallajokull volcano
This was shot on a sunny day vest of Hvolsvollur village in South Iceland. The wind was blowing the Ash cloud south-east over the Eyjafjoll-district, south of the volcano. The smoke and ash rose up to 8-9 kilometers that day. The horses were out of reach for the ash cloud for the time being.

Volcanic ash makes the mountains gray and black
I went for a visit to the Volcano this morning and was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of blue sky and sunshine while I was there. The grass is coming up through the ash and it looks like the life will win this time.

Volcanic Ash covering the slopes
I went for a visit to the Volcano this morning and was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of blue sky and sunshine while I was there. The hills are covered in the volcanic ash, but the grass on the field is coming up through the ash and it looks like the life will win this time.
