Duality
I was playing with a mirror today outside and loved how my fairy came out. Very mysterious IMHO anyway! I took a lot of shots of her and the reflection and I hope you don't tire of them. I'm trying not to bore you all too much with the photos from the wedding so I'm posting something different than the wedding photo on the same day as I posted the wedding photo for those who just aren't into wedding photos! Have a fabulous Friday my friends. Take care and hugs to all!

Temporary Decor 3/3
I've always wanted to shoot some rows like this for the depth that horizontal lines add.

Super Highway
30 Seconds of the M40 at dusk :) Been thinking about this shot for a few weeks as the location is on my drive home - decided to give it a go today. It was very windy hence the cloud and tree movement.

Deep Space Nebula
Just another experiment: I took this shot with my Nikon D100 and a superstrong tele zoom. This interstellar cloud of dust, hydrogen gas and plasma is located near the Andromeda Galaxy... Ok, I guess you don't believe me ;-))
So here's the thruth: If you've ever watched a documentary about the universe you might have seen those fascinating nebulae, which I think are true artworks. Since I don't have the equipment to take deep space photographs I tried to create one using Photoshop and a shot of some clouds.

Day 356 | 365 : A beacon of light
In this dark age of fear, insecurity and distress, a beacon of light stands to defend our most cherished values (such as 'eat your greens', 'don't run with scissors' and my favorite one: 'put down the toilet seat when you're done').
Nine days left.
Strobist: SB-900 left of camera, through white umbrella, M @ 1/3.2. SB-800 behind me, w/ red gel, M @ 1/2. CLS trigger.

Sen Yz evirecek olsan...
Duydum ki bizi b?rakmaya azmediyorsun, etme.
ba?ka bir yar, ba?ka bir dosta meylediyorsun, etme.
ey ay, felek harab olmu?, ziyan olmu? senin iin
bizi yle harab, yle ziyan ediyorsun, etme.
ey, makam? var ve yokun stnde olan ki?i
sen varl?k sahas?n? yle terk ediyorsun, etme.
sen yz evirecek olsan, ay kapkara olur gamdan
sen ay?n da evini y?kmay? kastediyorsun, etme.
?ekerli?inin iinde zehir olsa dokunmaz bize
sen zehri o ?eker, ?ekeri zehrediyorsun, etme.
harama bula?an gzm, gzelli?inin h?rs?z?
ey h?rs?zl??a da de?en h?rs?zl?k ediyorsun, etme.
a??klarla ba?a ?kacak gcn yoksa e?er

flight of the egrets revisited
This watercolor painting for the Cuckmere challenge is finally done. I turned it in last time undone because I was already so late amongst other interpretations, but finally able to balance the colors and intensity.

Tokyo at Dusk
From another walk with kermit71. I've always wanted to get a shot from here and I'm thankful he took us :) Luckily he brought his polarizer so we could get rid of the darned glass reflections :))
After some sleep I can't wait to visit some streams.. Sorry for being a bum and not being around ^^ !

Air drops
View On Black
Air drops in a bottle of water with some post processing for the colors.
We can also see the elliptic bokeh enlarged by the water in the bottle.
The sunlight was behind the bottle.
Funny things are everywhere.

82: escape. [EXPLORED]
March 24, 2009
Flickr made the right side of this photo super grainy, but I think I'm kind of ok with that. It makes a dramatic contrast for the softness of the left side.
I had such an awesome evening, alone at Barnes & Noble, reading, writing, drawing, and perusing aisle after aisle of beautiful books. I decided I like British Vogue better than French Vogue, and discovered a few keys to surviving a summer of solitude (think classic literature, writing, and prayer).
I'm so going back to B&N tomorrow morning :)
