Asif Zardari, Benazir Bhutto and their children
Asif Zardari, husband of Benazir is a highly controversial figure in Pakistan and abroad. He fought against several corruption and criminal cases in Pakistan. Both, Benazir and Zardari were convicted for money laundering by a Geneva investigating magistrate in 2003. Several cases of money laundering are still ongoing in the UK and Switzerland.

Then innocent Benazir would become twice the Prime Minister of Pakistan, 1988 to 1990, and 1993 to 1996. On both the occasions, before she could complete her term in office, she was dismissed by then Pakistani President for alleged corruption. She earned disgrace and her name is synonymous with corruption and bad governance. However, she is still hired to lecture on Good governance, Foreign Relations, Bilateral Relations by several universities in the US and Europe.

This massive blast came just a few feet from the front of the 3 inch glass and steel reinforced bomb-proof truck carrying Benazir. More than 136 died and over 450 injured in the incident.
