You're not allowed to take pictures in Starbucks

"It's our policy." Yeah well that's ok, because it's MY policy never to patronize Starbucks unless there's absolutely no alternative.

Aunt T is in the 'hood

They drew a sprawling metropolis on the driveway at Fernwood Dr. Then, with assistance from Cousin S, Cousin A, Big Cousin S, and just about everyone else, they drew an even larger one, encompassing the USA from Baltimore to Boston to Kalamazoo, on the driveway at Auntie Anne's house.
I was pretty relieved when it rained the next day and I didn't have to feel guilty about the mess.

Knitting and wifi-ing

At one point, Nancy emailed Patsy, who was sitting next to her on the couch.
Dee did her knitting and I did my embroidery, which, if you know the degree of techie-ness of these four people, is kind of ironic.

Assembling for the drive to the gravesite

Big Man was naturally ecstatic to see Cousin S, but I was a little surprised at his joy in seeing little Cousin A, who he's only met once. Look how tall and willowy that S is - man she's gonna kill in high school.

Jeannie and Joe unloading the flowers

Frances always liked it when people brought flowers from their gardens, so Jeannie and Joe loaded up with sunflowers, marigolds, amaranth, and whatever else was blooming at their farm in Virginia.

"Eternal rest grant them Lord"

They need it, after spelling that thing out to every customer service rep they ever encountered.

Train's coming!

The train track that abutted one side of the cemetery was an unexpected bonus.

That's a trapeze she's sitting on - took me the longest time to figure out that the chains are diagonal and it's not that she's at the back point of her swinging.
