Along the Back
With my camera in hand, I go back in time in my mind as I stand near Judy Taylor's old house and start clicking. The journey begins on Judy's back deck, where she sat and read or looked out on the lake, her place of refuge.

Judy's Back Garden
It looks so small, such a tiny space between water and house, but it doesn't take much space to sit and enjoy God's creation as Judy liked to do.

Judy's Lake View
The view from that small, perfect backyard was immense. An expanse of water, blue or grey, rough or flat, that reached to the distant shore.

But if Judy turned her head to the left, she could see her neigbours and the clear, shallow water near the shore.

Judy's Front Lawn
Out front, the view was quite different. A large lawn separated house from road, providing a canvas for green summers, fall colour, and the whites of winter.

Judy's First House, Her Place of Peace
Once Judy got her driver's license, every day she drove down the driveway (that was to the left of the previous photo) and turned right on to Kelly's Bay Road, passing in front of her house.

The view down the road, when not covered with snow and ice, was spectacular.

Her frequent destination when going into town was her church, Trinity United in Bobcaygeon.

Bridge after Judy's
But now we're back in 1999, and we're leaving Judy's, leaving Bobcaygeon behind, heading back to Toronto, and we cross this bridge. I take one final shot from my car window.
