If your camera can see the TV remote infra red then you can take IR photos. Apparently two (dense black) end bits of colour film in front of the lens filters out normal light (mostly) and a long exposure in bright sun gives an IR photo. I tried it and here it is. It should be black and white but I liked the red tint so left it in.
