St Helier yacht basin
Yachts as far as the eye can see, and there is another marina next to this one. It seems to reflect the financial status of the Island.

Shop Queen St St Helier 20 July 2007
A very smart looking shop, which I felt seemed to sum up the period shops I saw around the town. There was a very mixed type of town, half French , half English.

We cam in over the St Ouen Beach on the West side of the Island, what a great approach for a real flavour of what the Island has to offer for the photographer.

This little harbour is on the Southern part of the Island. Apparently a terrible place for boats to approach, as you can see from the surounding rocks.

Le Roque bay Jersey
While we were there we had these fantastic sky`s filled with deep blue sky and masses of white clouds of various shapes. I felt the B&W lends its self well to this type of sky.

Le Hoque tower at St Clements bay South Jersey 19 July 2007
If you enlarge this image you should be able to read the blurb about the tower. These were built during the American Civil war to protect the Island from the French.

You can walk out to this light on the South West side of the island, at low water. What a dramatic place for pictures. Fantastic rock formations around also.
