Jebeker at 6 months
Jebeker looked a bit ermine-like until she fully developed her ruff. She is long in the legs, neck and body, and it's her full coat of fluff that helps her look like a dignified cat as an adult. Well... this photo also caught her at a particularly sill moment.

Rocket doing something with his face...
One of the funniest pictures I've ever taken... Tried to get a photo of Rocket's fully open mouth during a yawn, but pressed the shutter a nanosecond too late, and this is what I ended up with... ROFLMFAO! My father laughs sooo hard when he sees this picture!
This is exactly how Rocket looks, there's no brightening, no overexposed colors. This is the true-to-life Rocket.

buster
Buster says "who you taking photos of?" and his buddies are ready to back him up!
On a more serious note, Buster is part of the large group of sea lions we found interacting with a pod of Humpback whales about 30 miles due west of San Francisco, out beyond the Farllon Is. They appeared to dive with the whales, and then where ever the sea lions popped up next, the whales would breach about 30 secs later. We coined the term 'whale surfers' on the boat :)

I have an itch...
Itch
To wake up in the morning wondering "Why?"
An itch which can be scratched in no other way
Than to resolve to get up and go find out
Is motivation for a meaningful day
In which the wonderer (too busy to die)
Is sustained by curiosity and doubt
To marvel along a trail of inquiry
In search of as much as can be found about
The nature of things: to see what one can see
This is a good day in a good life to me

WHO NEEDS TV WHEN YOU HAVE THESE TWO SILLY BOYS?
Benni has many tactics for trying to get the toy from Zooie. In this covert move, Benni fakes submission as he turns his head to check out the location of the squeaky toy (Mr. Feet). Zooie is not falling for Benni's tricks and has good control of his prized posession. This will go on for a while until Zooie gets tired of the toy and passes it over to Benni. These two are quite a pair. Zooie always plays straight man to Benni's comedian.

a three-toed sloth in the rainforest of Costa Rica- a face only a mother could love.

you talking to me?
this Iguana was watching the tourists in the Manuel Antonio National Park in Costa Rica. This park is on the Pacific Coast and the vegetation and the animals here are again different from the Carara Park.
This iguana was almost black with brown markings, he was quite agressive and the camera did not worry him at all. He came a bit too close for my comfort........

I needed that!
Then when he's finished he shakes his paw and covers the whole place with water. It makes me laugh (when I've finished cleaning up after him)!
