Milstein Hall
Cornell University has decided to go ahead with an expansion to Milstein Hall, home to the school's College of Architecture, Art, and Planning. The building is designed by OMA's New York office.

The addition will rise on what is currently a parking lot. A new lot was part of the original proposal, but that had been deferred to get the building built. In the background, the Museum of Art, which will also expand, can be seen.

The expansion draws both stylistically and in form from the original. Much of the new galleries are located below grade, reducing the expansion's size and ceding the skyline to its neighbor.
