Avalon Abstract
The dreary day allowed for an experimentation for a layered beach scene. Something different from the normal seascapes with huge dynamic ranges.

Forrester Rocks At Night
I recommend that you check this one out Large On Black
This image is a bit of an experiment in light painting. I took it last night.. Went out to Forrester Rocks with the old man on a gorgeous night ,a full moon, no wind, calm seas.... Armed with a bottle of red wine and various light sources, this was an image that I had in my head for a while.
It was a bummer that it was a clear sky and there were no clouds, but can't have everything.

Reflecting on Warners Bay
The fog didn't lift off the lake till almost 9 today - as nice as the thick fogs are I don't find them particularly interesting photographically but when the sky starts to peak through it's just lovely.

Diving Blocks
| Nikon D40x | Sigma 10-20mm @ 13mm | 1/4sec. | f/8 | ISO-100 | Cokin GND8 (p121) |
Had a spare 30mins whilst in Newcastle over the weekend so I thought I would try and get a few shots around the Ocean Baths in Merewether. These lane markers are a photogragher's dream! I can't wait to get back there someday and have a better crack at them.

Adaminaby #3: dead
#1 of the dead tree series. I took quite a few different versions of this dead tree.
Star trail with this dead tree to come soon :)
tec: D3, F9, 20s - taken just after sunset facing South. The rain came with the clouds, but when the cloud disappeared, the stars were so spectacular.
Thanks Irene for all the advices and drawing me a photo location map on Adaminaby!

the mill
This was taken on a stretch of road I have driven many times. I have often wondered how I could capture this scene and do it justice, alas the light and timing has never been right, until this particular morning. I'm rather proud of what I've captured and I hope you enjoy my image aswell.

curious beetle
I found this little guy on my leg while photographing in a field near my house. So I put him on a plant nearby and he climbed to the end of a stem to keep checking me out. Musta had my bug pheremones on that day! 400D with Tamron 90mm. This was one of the first days out with the Tamron, hence the extreme DOF due to aperture newbieness.
