Tia, the cat who is just waiting for her owners to die, so she can take over, very casually.

Her name is Tia, short for Tiamat- 'The Chaos Dragon'. She does her best at causing havoc and total confusion in the house.

She has disfigured our couch, scratched the hellouta our screen door, knoocked down vases, thrown up allover the carpet and the floor. But despite all of this despicable cat behavior, we let her hang around.

I tell my wife all the time, "That cat is a bitch...BUT she's beautiful. And beauty always carries a hefty price tag.'

My soul to speak

Anita

This shot was taken tonight as we were walking out of the movie theater in the ghastly Palisades Mall. (Overcrowded with teenies and just a massive pot that everyone pisses their money into)

On the other hand we saw a decent movie, "Choke". Taken from the novel by chuck palahnuick. I read the book and the movie was exactly transcribed to the screen. It was my kinda movie, dark, complex, funny, satirical on many levels and had bits of , "what you see is not what you always get." The story in the movie played with psychologocally based illusions and family dynamics as well as community dynamics.....ahh..what da hell...just go see it

Ohh and did I mention that Sam Rockwells performance was bloody outstanding!!

I want a double life of light

I received a new Sigma DC 18-50mm lense from Amazon today and all the shots I've posted up on Sept 20th are the results.

This was my first shot using that lense.

*If you stare at it long enough..it pulsates...I swear! *

We are brave souls

"We are strong and carry might"

The Sun is about 4 1/2 billion years old. Humans have only been around for a tiny, tiny fraction of this time. As a comparison, if you think of 4.5 billion years as the length of a 12 inch ruler, then the time humans have existed wouldn't even be the width of the lines marking the inches. (Metric equivalent is 30.5cm and it would still be just the width of the markings.)
The Sun will remain more or less the way it is now for about another 5 billion years. After that, it will exhaust the hydrogen it currently "burns" and will enter a new phase of existence. During this phase the Sun will begin "burning" helium and will expand to about 100 times its current size and become what is called a red giant. Once it runs out of helium it will collapse into a much smaller object called a white dwarf.

C here for more fun fiery filled facts about the sun ~~~~> www.hao.ucar.edu/Public/education/basic.html#howOld

Here's a song about sunbeams by the band "The Vaselines".
They were pulled out of obscurity by Curt Cobains rendition of their song, "Jesus don't want me for a Sunbeam"
Take a listen to their weird but catchy tune here ~~~~~~~~~> www.last.fm/music/The+Vaselines/+videos/+1-RcLM_gqLlYc
