This is where I share more of the process-- the behind-the-scenes sketches that show the thoughts behind the finished work. This gallery also features many of the charcoal and sumi ink drawings from classes at the UW. I think it's important for sketches to have a space of their own. They're the little gems that don't make it into shows but have a certain energy that deserves notice. And, I hate to admit it, but sometimes I like them better than a finished product! This is why I'm reluctant to spend too much time on studies before jumping into the main piece.
