10.18.08 Sweetpea -- 11 weeks
Another shot of my ever growing belly! I have never been so proud of pudgy tummy!

10.25.08 Sweetpea -- 12 weeks
This week we have a baby the size of a lemon/lime who measures somewhere over the two inch mark and weighs in at a whopping 1/2 an ounce. The baby is also pretty well developed at this point, with all of the major functions in order, and reflexes are developed by this week too!!!

11.02.08 Sweetpea -- 13 weeks, 1 day
This week we have a baby the size of a jumbo shrimp (or a peach) who measures somewhere over the three inch mark (woo hoo, one inch more than last week) and weighs in at almost a whole ounce!
The baby has bones, it's very own unique fingerprints, and is developing vocal chords!

11.08.08 Sweetpea -- 14 weeks
This week the baby has grown to about the size of a peach, and is now about 3.5 inches long. We're officially in the second trimester now, no matter what updates we're looking at, and little Sweetpea can now make all sorts of fun facial expressions as he/she practices squinting, frowning, and grimacing. Cute development of the week: the little hands can grasp at things!
Our next ultrasound, and hopefully our chance to record the heartbeat, should be on November 17th.

11.15.08 Sweetpea -- 15 weeks
This week the baby is the size of a beefsteak tomato! We're clocking in at 4 inches, and 2.5 ounces now. All the update sites say I could start feeling movement at any point now, so I will be waiting to report that!

11.22.08 Sweetpea -- 16 weeks
This week we've got am avocado baby! Sweetpea is 4.5 inches long and around 3.5 ounces in weight. This week, the baby's arms are now long enough that it can put its hands together!

11.29.08 Sweetpea -- 17 weeks
Our little Sweetpea is now the size of a turnip, about five inches, and has pretty much reached the right proportions. That means no more abnormally large head, no more weirdly short legs... just a super cute, teeny baby in there! If Aodin is any measure, we're probably up to seven or eight ounces in weight by now.
I am trying very hard not to think too much about worry this week or the ones to follow. I am quickly approaching the time when we lost Aodin, which fills me with a crazy mixture of hope and fear. I hope we make it through.

12.6.08 Sweetpea -- 18 weeks
I am starting to wonder how huge I am going to be in... April or so.
This week Sweetpea is the size of a baked potato (or a bell pepper) and now has normally positioned ears and fully developed hearing. The little potato is weighing in around 7 ounces, and is starting to get big enough that movement feels less like little swishes and more like distinct motions.
I've also noticed a slight improvement in the feelings of pressure, and I think you can tell by the difference in shape since last week that everything seems to be shifting UP, which is a good thing!

12.13.08 Sweetpea -- 19 weeks
This week Sweetpea is measuring about 10 inches and weighing in somewhere near 8.5 ounces. Aodin was 9.6 ounces a bit before this point, so it's possible Sweetpea is also a bit bigger. At this point, the updates pretty much say everything is about GROWING!
This week is an interesting new beginning for me, as I have never before been this pregnant.

12.20.08 Sweetpea -- 20 weeks
We had a rough spot this past week, but have reached twenty weeks without serious incident. We can now wait patiently as our little girl grows.

12.27.08 Sweetpea -- 21 weeks
21 weeks! I can't believe it! Our new goal is 26 weeks, which is safely into the "viability" era.

01.03.09 Sweetpea -- 22 weeks
The belly at 22 weeks, when Miss Evi has managed a fully operating pancreas and a totally proportioned body now! From here in out, we're mostly just growing!
As you see, I finally had to abandon the pink owl tank top in favor of this maternity one... :)

01.10.09 Sweetpea -- 23 weeks
We've made it another week! I can't really tell if the belly is getting bigger now, but she is definitely still moving a ton and she seems to have shifted up a little too, which I think can only be a good thing. I am feeling pretty good and surviving bedrest reasonably well, thanks to lots of books sent by friends and family!

01.17.09 Sweetpea - 24 weeks
The 24 week belly! Obviously in a hospital gown here, and not allowed to stand... so the pics from now on will all be laying down. Ms. Sweetpea is still doing beautifully, and if I can just manage to keep my cervix in line for several more weeks, we should all end up with a beautiful happy ending!

01.24.09 Sweetpea -- 25 weeks
Here we are, one week closer to a happy and healthy baby! Every week in my tummy is less time she will spend in the NICU, so I am SO pleased. Every Saturday is a party!
Here I am wearing the AWESOME Kermit pajamas that my brother and sister sent for me! They are so comfortable!

01.31.09 Sweetpea -- 26 weeks
Here I am at 26 weeks! Notice the standing? Thanks to our excellent appointment yesterday, I have been given the all clear to stand for potty trips! I took advantage of this morning's bathroom break to snap a new pic!
This week Ms. Evi can open her eyes!!! I imagine it looks pretty boring in there, until you consider that she is seeing everything for the first time! Every little bubble must be fascinating! I bet she'll spend hours amazed by her own hands and feet!
Just give me six more weeks, little girl. Six weeks, and then, if you insist, you can make your triumphant appearance.

02.14.09 Sweetpea -- 28 weeks
28 weeks and a happy Valentine's Day! She is my little Valentine! This week we finally get to breathe a small sigh of relief, as she now has much better chances of making it through this with nothing but good results!

We're still growing and glowing! Miss Evi is happy, healthy, and can't get me to drink enough milk. We're only three weeks away from the stitch removal now, so we're counting down the days until we *might* be bringing home our daughter!

Here we are at a miraculous 34 weeks! I wasn't always certain we would make it this far, but we have and we're thriving!

04.04.09 Sweetpea -- 35 weeks
Here we are at 35 weeks, and doing just fine! We've started seeing some signs now that we might be on our way to labor sometime in the next couple of weeks, so now we're all just hoping our little girl can hang on until my Mom gets here next Friday night!

04.25.09 Sweetpea -- 38 weeks
I put on a dress and makeup! We went out on Saturday to celebrate our five year wedding anniversary, and I was excited for the chance to get a little dressed up.
I am loving my pregnant belly, and I felt so pretty and happy! We had a beautiful time.
Here I am showing off my 38 week belly. I am so proud to have made it so far with this precious baby girl.
