Every one can tell you that flip-flop is summer, so i've created my favorite bead sets shaped as flip-flops.

Shot Glasses
This is my entry for the June 2008 challenge of the Polymer Clay Artists Guild of Etsy. The theme is summer vacation, and what says summer better than tequila? These are two heavy shot glasses covered halfway with coordinating polymer clay canework in bright summer flowers. Cheers!

Wish You Were Here Bracelet
This is my entry for the June "Summer Vacation" Challenge.
South Carolina's tourist slogan is "Smiing Faces, Beautiful Places". I thought I would make an exaggerated charm bracelet with a big PC charm of the state front and center.
I enhanced the bead with sterling charms I snitched from my real SC charm bracelet; Czech glass faceted crystal beads in variagated turquoise/teal with a silvery shimmer; and mother of pearl shell nuggets which have a matching teal streak running through them.
The SC bead was made with Studio clay in teal and buttercream, tinted with alcohol inks and covered with a layer of liquid sculpey, which I sanded and buffed before painting on the sea oats. Yes, those are supposed to be sea oats along the SW border. As you can see, I am no artist, but this was great fun!

Teacher's Summer Vacation
I was inspired to make this piece
for a couple that are newly engaged...
She is a school teacher and he is
an avid fisherman...this is how they
spend their summer vacation...so
as I was creating this piece I thought
it would be perfect .....

Vacation Sally
Smiling Sally enjoys sitting in the sun and playing in the sand with her pail and shovel. Her sun visior keeps the sun out of her eyes.
This figurine was made with polymer clay and two glass beads for her eyes. The sand was made out of clay shavings.

Polymer Clay Shell Necklace
For me, summer vacation is all about the beach. And the beach is all about swimming and sunning, yes, but mostly about collecting shells. I have shells from every vacation I've been on displayed in jars around my home, I love them!
I created this pendant by finding a beautiful shell then making a mold of it, then casting it in polymer clay. I sanded the piece and drilled a hole so I could hang it from a silicone cord with a sterling jump ring.

Gourmet Watermelon Bracelet
A delectable summery bracelet! We created this piece for the PCAGOE June "summer vacation" challenge. We sculpted the watermelon charms by hand from polymer clay, then wire wrapped all of the colorful glass beads onto a delicate sterling silver bracelet.
Nothing screams summer like watermelon juice running down your chin.

The vacation theme took me to the beach where there's waves and seashells. I used a magnetic cable cord and made matching earrings with sterling silver earwires
