"Frida Loves The Blues"
I sold this original in 2004. It was done on canvas (unmounted), with acrylics. I had a piece of canvas in which I had tried some faux finish technique. It was sitting around and one day I just painted Frida on it.
I'm reissuing this as a print, soon to be in my Etsy shop.
Size will be 8 x 10, 8.5 x 11 or 11 x 17 (inches).

Frida #26
Part of a series I started when I first began painting her portraits, in 2003. I discontinued doing the series later, as I knew I was going to be doing many more and it was pointless to keep count.
This was an 8x10 on canvas. I may offer aceos of this soon, or prints, or both.

Aceo - "FRIDA'S PASSION"
On this day, 7/13, 53 yrs. ago (1954), Frida Kahlo died.
She was finally free to fly away rom her turbulent and painful life, a life that was also full of fun, love, passion and art.
A few days before her death, she wrote in her diary:
"I hope the exit is joyful - and I hope never to return - Frida."
Rest in peace, Frida!
