Anticipation
I rolled towards this storm for an hour or more. It only took ten minutes to pass through. Utah, in the salt flats.

I spent a little time, very little, at the creek at dusk experimenting with long exposures.
ISO 100, f/29, 5sec
Cropped as suggested by Deeble and others to remove trash. Honestly I was fixated on the rocks and water and didn't notice. Thanks

Body Snatchers
Seed pod found near a creek in Tennessee.
Help from J-Fish on what this actually is:
"Actually, this is not a seed pod, but your title still fits. This is an object called an "Oak Apple Gall", caused by a species of wasp that cause the plant material of the host to mutate (a lot like a body snatcher). This is one of the most common Galls encountered, and is caused by the wasp species Amphibolips confluenta. The wasp lives as a larvae in the center, and will burrow out through the hole well before most people find them."

Boats
This is my first attempt at HDR. (3 differently exposed shots stacked together) I like natural looking HDR and that's what I'm going for. HDR, if done right fills out the dark places and fills in the overlight to make the image appear more like the eye sees it. This was done in easyHDRbasic. A freeware program I downloaded to see if I like HDR. It's not lined up well and the basic doesn't let you do alot to it. I'm getting PS CS2 soon. This is cropped*

Bowers Park, Tuscaloosa Alabama. I drive past here daily but it never occured to me to stop at the park in January. It was very peaceful and quiet.

Tennessee Sunset
Just West of Monteagle, Tn.
I wish the brush wasn't in the foreground but I was parked on the shoulder of the Interstate and couldn't find a quick way through the fence. I take what I can get.

14/366 1/25/08 The Light of Hell on Wheels.
Trying to play with exposure in 17 degree weather. Millington TN, on the Navy Base. This is a post behind the camper where hook-ups are. Hell on Wheels is a joke between my friends and I because they are stuck living in a camper until they can close on the new house.
