Frozen Austin Making Casts On The Dock
It was so cold, poor Austin spent the early part of the morning in the car. But I tempted him out once the sun got strong.

These hardy souls were working the edge of the icepack where salmon often lurk. The town bandstand is behind them. The general rule of thumb is - the salmon don't come out of the lake in any large numbers until the ice goes out all the way to the bandstand.

We went inland next. This is the Wiswall Dam in Newmarket NH. They had recently stocked 300 big Rainbow trout there, but the river was raging.
