Washington
This is another Mount Vernon shot of George Washington being sworn in as our first President in N.Y.C.
I am having computer issues (I need to get more memory) and since I am ripping a movie to put on my iPod for a quick business trip to L.A., my computer is so slow that I haven't been able to look at many photos you have posted. I promise to make up for this oversight when I get back this weekend. Hopefully I'll have some time from my meeting to take some L.A. photos.

General Washington's Flag
Richard at Valley Forge, 11/11/2004.
We still have a mini-version of this flag on our desk at home that we got when we did the GW show at N-YHS.

Washington's Inauguration
The new museum is actually really great. We sat through the introduction video (great actors, poor script, funny computer animated snow, odd anachronisms), and walked through the education center. The whole thing really succeeds in making Washington more like a human.
