Sony is going to get spanked this Christmas

Who’d have thought? But it looks to me like Sony is set to lose their dominance in the video game console market. According to estimates, they’ll only have 500,000 game consoles to sell this season (and at $600 a pop or $500 for a crippled system—although they just announced a 20% price cut for Japan) while Nintendo will have about 7 million (at $250) and Microsoft plans to have produced over 10 million (at $400 or $300 for a crippledcore system) by the end of the year. Of course, success is ultimately about how many they can sell which is based on games, price, and availability. Will loyalty win out over outrageous console prices?
