Make a Twitter background with BigHugeLabs

mosaic1Trying to make a cool background for your Twitter page? Try theĀ Mosaic Maker and make a fun background from your photos.

First, decide if you want to tile your background or not. If you want to tile your background so that it fills the entire screen then create a mosaic in a rectangular or square format (for example, 3×2 or 5×5). If you want to use a static background along the left edge of the browser window, create a tall mosaic that is just 1 colulmn wide (for example, 1×10). To help the mosaic blend in, choose a border and background color that match your Twitter profile colors.

Of course, these are just guidelines to get you started. Go nuts. Have fun with it.

If you have Photoshop, SpoonGraphics has a great tutorial for making your own background from scratch.

Thanks for the article! I use 1280×800 for most of the backgrounds. It fits 70% of all browsers.
